Is Formza's QR code generator free?
Yes. Static codes are free with no limit, and a free account gives you editable, trackable codes that never expire (20 codes).
Do I need an account?
Not to download a static code. An editable code needs a free account, because we keep it for you to change later.
What's the difference between static and editable codes?
A static code holds the content in its dots, so it can't change and its scans aren't counted. An editable (dynamic) code holds a short Formza link, so you can change where it goes after printing and see its scans.
Can I change the link after printing?
Yes, if the code is editable. Change the destination in your dashboard and the printed code opens the new one right away.
Do QR codes expire?
No. Static codes never expire, and editable codes keep working even if you cancel Pro.
How many editable codes do I get?
20 codes on the free plan and unlimited on Pro. Static codes are unlimited on both.
Is there a scan limit?
No. Any code can be scanned any number of times.
Can I add my logo and colours?
Yes. Use a dark colour on a light background, and test the code with your phone before printing.
